The memory tokens!
These are fragments that hold nothing but the grace of my past;
Like hyperlinks to an elapsed life.
Each one comes with small bundles of memories!
Memories wrapped in colored papers and satin ribbons,
Embracing nostalgia of yesteryear,
Of people and places,
Of moments frozen in time.
These are souvenirs that recall life itself;
Perhaps a story half told or left unsaid.
Or a bliss we dared not to tell anyone,
Or a bliss we dared not to tell anyone,
For the fear of losing its beauty when shared.
A travel that made our vision more clear.
Or a group hug that gave more warmth than camp fires.
A golden sunrise from seashore,
Or a misty morning in the mountains.
A hot cuppa masala tea from Hyderabad streets,
Or the routine strong coffee and 'kadi' from MSN/ Sanika.
Or else the burger, french fries and sulaimani we used to have between 4.20 pm and 5.10 pm exact!
A moonlit night on hostel roof,
Or an ecstatic view of dawning hour from high above the clouds.
Reminiscence of group works and stay overs at friend's place.
Candle light dinners at hostel when power goes out.
Ubereats, Swiggy and Zomato that came to rescue when hunger consumed us.
Railway stations, bus stands and airports that held too many of our priceless moments.
Endless laughters that made our tummies hurt!
Sunshines and melancholies that seesawed us constantly.
Midnight conversations; raw and vulnerable..
Nights that turned to mornings.
Friendships that turned to family...
Love that we received more than we deserved.
Love that we gave away more than we intended to.
Experiences we thought we would never have....
The life that we never expected to be lived!
The life that we never expected to be lived!
So, now, lemme twine myself with nostalgia of those moments just as destiny takes me through the uncertainties of time.
And finally, I can lay in peace, for my dreams and memories are safely tucked to that wall!
